There are a number of basic arrangements that can be varied widely to give different effects, especially where the wide spectrum of Qualatex colours are used.  For simplicity the basic shapes and designs are set out on this page to give you an introduction to the “language” and the prices.  The prices shown are for the basic products and may be increased if, for example, printed balloons  or more expensive weights are used.  You can, though, use these prices as a good guide to the cost of what you are thinking about.

The Basic Designs

This can be made from balloons of the same colour or in three different colours just as you wish, all inflated to 11” diameter.  Three plain balloons on a plain box weight, in a variety of colours costs £6.00.  Using 3 printed balloons it would cost £6.80.

As above, there are many variations of this grouping.  The two pairs of balloons settle naturally at right angles to each other and the top one nestles comfortably between the top pair.  Often our customers like to use a “double bubble” (see below) at the top of this arrangement.  With plain balloons on a plain box weight this arrangement costs £9.50.  With a “Double Bubble” top it costs £12.00

“Stacked” arrangements such as these can be made with 3 balloons in each tier which gives the bouquet more body and can contain 10 or more balloons.

Right.  A “Double Bubble”,

One balloon inflated inside a larger one, is often used in bouquets, particularly the larger ones.  The inner balloon can be any colour to suit your colour scheme and the outer balloon, which is 16” diameter, can be either plain clear or printed with stars or hearts and roses or some other design to suit the occasion.  They generally add £2.50 to the cost of a bouquet.

This is a spectacular and eye-catching option which can be increased in size by adding more balloons.  For example one extra would be arranged as above in two pairs, or three extra would be arranged in two tiers of three with a single on the top.  The 4 balloon version would cost £19.85 using printed outer balloons, made up to stand on the floor.

Right.  A “Cloud Nine”

Often used in groups of 3 or 5 as a backdrop behind top tables at wedding receptions, where they would be draped with organza or tulle, they are a graceful addition to the decor  of your venue.  They are also used to draw the eye away from very high ceilings in large rooms or halls.  The one illustrated, with a “Double Bubble” top would cost £17.00  Draping groups of them would cost a little more.

Left  A Floating Topiary.

These  arrangements are  useful as “door-keepers” inside the entrance to your reception room.  They are made with a group of 12 helium filled balloons which finish up looking much like a lumpy ball in colours of your choice.  Draped with organza or tulle and on decorated weights, they cost £25 each. They can also be placed on decorated supporting rods and filled with air, which cost £15 each.

12 ballloon floating topiary

This is made of 18 balloons inflated to 2 different sizes and put together to float as a flower look-alike.  The one illustrated would cost £18.00, but there are cheaper air-filled alternatives.  A single sided “Wallflower” filled with air  using 10 balloons would cost only £8.00.

Right.  A Flower, variation of the Floating topiary.

Very popular behind top tables or over discos they cost £2.50 per foot. A 25 foot arch would cost £62.50.

Right A Garland Arch.

This is a really spectacular feature for the bigger event and can be built in up to 4 colours.  Patterns vary from spirals to chevrons and diamonds depending how the balloons are arranged.  They are charged at £6.00 per foot, so a 25 foot arch would cost £150.00.

Right.  Peacock Arch, a double arch dressed with ribbons, often used at the top of columns to form a dramatic entrance to a function room.  It comes in different shapes such as the walk through version you can see by hovering your mouse over the picture. Prices will vary depending on the size of the arch but the one illustrated will cost around £70.

Left. Columns come in various types and sizes, and like the garland arches can be made into a variety of patterns.  The column on the far left is “Square-packed” using two sizes of balloons, the darker ones being smaller to give what appears to be a squarer profile, whilst the one near left is the standard type.  They can be topped off with large balloons to look like the gate posts on grand houses, or with flame shaped foil balloons to resemble giant candle sticks, or just  let your imagination run riot.

The columns cost £3.25 per foot plus whatever topper is used.
